Course Information
Marathon
The White Tail Trail Marathon will start and finish at the swim beach parking lot on the west side of Caesar Creek State Park.
Due to the out and back nature of the marathon, we are not allowing dogs in that event.

The first 1/2 mile of the race will be run on the road to allow racers to thin out before hitting the single track trail.
The race will cross under the State Route 73 bridge and run south on the Buckeye Trail to the US Army Corps of Engineers Visitor Center.
Marathon runners will continue on past the visitor center and across the dam. Marathon runners will then follow the yellow trail towards the 50 Springs Picnic Area, through Pioneer Village. Runners will turn around 13.1M miles from the start and retrace their steps to the finish line.
The marathon course is 95% dirt and grass single and double track trails and 5% pavement. This trail is open to walkers and runners only. Horses and bikes are not allowed on the trail. There is a stream crossing at approximately miles 8 and 18. Depending on the amount of recent rainfall, this could be anywhere from dry to ankle deep. Runners can choose to cross a suspension bridge. However, the course will be marked to go through the stream.
There will be 11 aid stations on the marathon course. Aid Stations can be found at approximately miles 1.5, 4, 7, 9.75, 11.25, 13, 15, 16.25, 19, 22, and 24.5.
Each aid station will be stocked with water and Hammer HEED. Select aid stations will also offer Hammer Gel, chips, candy, band aids, Vaseline, and ibuprofen.
Restroom facilities can be found on the course at miles 1.5, 7, 10, 11, 12 and at the turnaround on the outbound trip.
Due to the course being a trail race, it is not a Boston qualifier.
Marathon Course
Half Marathon
The White Tail Trail Half Marathon will feature a point to point course around the lake, starting at the Fifty Springs Recreation Area and finishing at the Swim Beach. Runners will be shuttle from the finish line to the start line before the race.

There is a total elevation gain and loss of 290 feet in the half marathon.
